JACK WYER
Memorial Tournament
Well done to the U12s on a great performance in round 1 of the Jack Wyer tournament.
After the success of the tournament in 2014, 2015 & 2016, Ballinamere/Durrow are hosting the 4th Jack Wyer Hurling tournament.
This Tournament commemorates and celebrates the life of Jack, a young Ballinamere/Durrow hurler & footballer who passed away at a tragically young age on April 3rd 2014. Jack Wyer was a skilful hurler who played hurling with a smile on his face. He played the game as it should be played.
The tournament is U12 with 7 clubs participating. Ballinamere/Durrow, Na Fianna, Tullamore, Kilcormac/Killoughey, Shamrocks, Drumcullen and Clara.
All welcome on Wednesday & Friday nights to Ballinamere, Clara & Tullamore GAA to see the games with the action under lights...First Round on Sept 29th.
Club Secretaries & team coaches will receive fixtures.
The Tournament will progress over a number of nights, finishing with a finals night (October 28th) where the Jack Wyer Memorial cup sponsored by Ballinamere GAA will be presented by Jacks Dad, Derek. The winning team will receive memorial t-shirts.
